The nine modules, and what each one is for
Scan this first. If your job is not in here, the rest of the page will not change that.
- Invoicing
- Drafts numbered PREFIX-YEAR-0001, three fixed templates, recurring invoices, credit notes, the Swiss Mahnung ladder and accounting period locks.
- Swiss QR-bill
- The official QR-Rechnung payment part and receipt, 210 × 105 mm, on its own page. Payable with TWINT, and on every plan.
- Clients and CRM
- Four tax identifiers per client - VAT, EU VAT, UID, MWST - a default rate and their document language. Plus leads and cold-lead lists.
- Time tracking
- A timer rounding to the nearest quarter hour, and the step that matters: unbilled entries become an invoice at the project rate.
- Contracts and signing
- Nine preset instruments, one or two languages side by side with the prevailing version named, signed through a one-time link. Professional and above.
- The assistant
- Command bar, chat panel or a private Telegram chat. It reads nine record types, proposes 20 operations, and changes nothing until you confirm.
- Expenses and banking
- Fourteen categories, receipts by photo, recurring expenses that are really booked, a scan that prefills the form. Francs only. camt.053 import on Business.
- Reports and Swiss deadlines
- Tax report, Erfolgsrechnung, profitability, cashflow projection, records archive, and a Swiss reference where every figure names its authority and reading date.
- A domain you own becomes your mailbox: your addresses, your DKIM signature, folders, scheduled sends, delivery states per recipient.
Invoicing, and writing the QR-bill onto it
An invoice is created as a draft, and nothing leaves the building until you decide it should.
Mark as sent only changes the status. The preview beside the form is the real PDF your client receives, not a mock-up of it.
- The document speaks its own language, not yours: the invoice's, then the client's, then the account's, then English.
- Fourteen text tokens with offsets, so {{month}} - {{month+1}} prints September - October against the invoice's own issue date.
- Recurring invoices produce one draft per period, exactly once, and catch up the periods a late run missed.
- Sealing is permanent and opt-in. After it a correction is a credit note, never an edit.
From a lead to a paid invoice
The modules are separate pages, but they are one chain of work.
Track the prospect
Thirteen fixed pipeline statuses, each change able to carry a note, and a 0-100 score computed by transparent rules, with no AI in it.
Convert to a client
One action converts it, keeping the notes and the timeline. The client record holds the tax identifiers that get printed and their document language.
Quote, then agree
An estimate prices each line at its own frequency, with one subtotal per frequency and deliberately no grand total across them.
Log the work
The timer rounds to the nearest quarter hour. The list shows what is billable, what is still unbilled, and what those hours are worth.
Bill it
Unbilled entries become one invoice grouped per project. A selection spanning two clients is refused before anything is created.
Money in, money out, and the MWST figures
Revenue is recognised on the day the money actually arrived, not on the day a status changed.
An invoice paid in twelve parts counts in each year it was really paid in, and its VAT is split across those parts in whole cents. VAT collected is never counted as revenue.
| Report | What it answers | Basis |
|---|---|---|
| Annual tax report | Revenue by client, quarters, VAT summary, expenses by category | Cash; gross and net both printed |
| Year-End Income Statement | An Erfolgsrechnung with a prior-year column | Accrual or cash, switchable |
| Project profitability | Profit and effective hourly rate per project | Cash received, net of VAT |
| Cashflow projection | A weekly look-ahead with an AHV reserve and a VAT set-aside | An estimate, labelled as one |
| Records archive | What is retained, what is sealed, what is past its window | Ten years under OR Art. 958f |
- Recurring expenses are really booked, catching up every missed period exactly once, and never writing into a closed period.
- The bank matcher auto-matches only an exact structured reference on a credit. An amount match is a suggestion; an ambiguous amount produces none.
The assistant drafts, and you approve
Stated without softening: the assistant plans, you confirm, and only then does anything change.
- The planning step is read-only. It shows exactly what it would change.
- Execution runs only after you confirm, and is re-validated on the server.
- Every step runs through the same action a person filling the form would use.
- There is no send step. It cannot email a client, or delete anything.
- Figures are never produced by the model. Every number is computed in the app.
- An invoice the assistant creates is a draft, like every other invoice.
Email is a module, not a send button. On a domain you own: your own addresses, folders and tags, a rich composer, a send scheduled up to a year ahead, and delivery per recipient in words. An opt-in setting drafts a reply to incoming mail and parks it, never sent.
What is in every plan, including Free
Free is genuinely free, is where a new account starts, and has no payment step.
- The Swiss QR-bill on your invoices, and estimates. Neither is gated by plan.
- No cap on invoices, estimates, projects, tasks, time entries, expenses or leads, though files count against storage.
- All five document languages, on the PDF and on the email carrying it.
- Your own email domain, the inbox, the knowledge base, Telegram and Discord.
- The three federal reference topics that cost most to get wrong: VAT rates, the registration threshold, record retention.
- A ZIP export of your data, and self-service deletion with a 30-day grace period.
| What the plan decides | Where it starts |
|---|---|
| Active clients | 3 Free, 25 Starter, uncapped on Professional and Business |
| Storage per account | 1 GB, 5 GB, 25 GB, 100 GB |
| Seats, owner included | 1, 1, 2, 5 |
| AI actions per month, per seat | 25, 300, 1'000, 3'000 |
| Documents, manual language switching | Starter and above |
| Contracts, payment reminders, accountant access, your canton's deadlines | Professional and above |
| Bank import, inventory, instalment plans, the compliance dossier | Business |
Prices are CHF 0, 15, 29 and 59 per month, in Swiss francs only, billed monthly. They are stated without Swiss VAT and no VAT is charged, because the operator is below the Swiss VAT registration threshold and is not VAT-registered. There is no annual plan and no self-service trial.
What it deliberately does not do
If one of these is your job, stop here. No plan changes any of them.
- Not double-entry bookkeeping: no chart of accounts, no journal, no ledger, no balance sheet.
- Not a replacement for a Treuhänder. It files nothing with the ESTV, a cantonal office or the AHV.
- No legal and no tax advice. Every compliance surface names the authority, the link and the reading date.
- No bank connection. A camt.053 or camt.054 file is exported from your e-banking and imported, on Business.
- No card payment on your invoice: no pay-now button, no payment link, no eBill.
- No multi-currency accounting. There are no exchange rates; expenses are booked in francs only.
- No payroll: no salary run, no Lohnausweis, no wage declaration.
- The client portal is read-only. A private link, no client login, no payment, no messaging.
- The signature records the name, the drawing, the time, the IP and a hash of the signed text. It is not a qualified electronic signature.
- No kanban board, no drag-and-drop calendar, no task assignee, no granular roles.
- Google Calendar is read one way. Events come in; nothing is written back.
- Offline means receipt photos, and only receipt photos.
Questions people ask
Does Solory write the Swiss QR-bill onto the invoice?
Yes. The official QR-Rechnung payment part and receipt, 210 × 105 mm, is appended as its own page after the invoice so the payer can detach it, and it is payable with TWINT and every Swiss banking app. A structured reference is always attached - a QRR reference on a QR-IBAN, an ISO 11649 Creditor Reference on an ordinary IBAN - so the payment matches back to the invoice. It is included on every plan, Free included.
Can the AI assistant send an invoice or an email for me?
No. The assistant proposes a plan, shows exactly what it would change, and executes only after you confirm. Its whole vocabulary is 20 record operations, such as creating an invoice, logging time or recording a payment, and none of them sends anything to a client. Incoming mail can be answered by a draft if you switch that on, but the draft is stored pending and waits for your approval.
Does this replace my Treuhänder or my accounting software?
No. It files nothing with any authority: no MWST submission to the ESTV, no tax return to a cantonal office, no AHV declaration. It is also not double-entry bookkeeping, so there is no chart of accounts, no journal and no balance sheet. What it does produce is the figures, the deadlines and the exports, including a CSV labelled so a Treuhänder can fill the MWST-Abrechnung and the Erfolgsrechnung from it.
Which languages does the invoice print in?
Five: English, German, French, Italian and Hungarian. The document speaks its own language rather than yours, resolved from the invoice, then the client's preferred language, then the account's, then English, and the email carrying the PDF goes out in the same one. The QR-bill payment part itself exists only in German, French, Italian and English, so a Hungarian invoice gets an English payment part.
Does it watch my MWST threshold and my filing dates?
The threshold monitor measures a rolling 12-month window against CHF 100'000 and warns from 80 per cent of it, counting sent, paid and overdue invoices and excluding foreign-currency ones rather than guessing at a rate. A MWST return and its payment are due 60 days after the period ends, and that date is shown. Cantonal filing dates come from the Swiss reference, where a canton that publishes no date produces no date. Seeing those dates as yours needs Professional or above.
What do I actually get on the Free plan?
Three active clients, 1 GB of storage, one seat and 25 AI actions a month, with no card and no payment step. Invoicing with the Swiss QR-bill, estimates, projects, tasks, time tracking, expenses and your own email domain are all there. The Documents module and manual language switching start at Starter, contracts and client-facing payment reminders at Professional, and bank import, inventory and instalment plans at Business.
Can I connect my bank account?
No, there is no bank API and no open banking. You export a camt.053 or camt.054 file from your e-banking and import it, which is a Business plan feature. Matching is deliberately conservative: only an exact structured reference on a credit is matched automatically, an amount match is a suggestion you confirm, and an ambiguous amount produces no suggestion at all. Re-importing the same file never duplicates a row.
